Tailwaggers
At Greendale the Me2We Service Club a group that meets a few times a month and choose issues/causes that are "dear" to them to support. This month, a number of our members wanted to organize a fundraiser to support animals. They organized a Candy gram sale to coincide with Valentine's Day. For 50 cents, students could write a friendly note to "someone special", have a candy attached and then delivered by a Me2We service club member. As you can see, the fundraiser was very successful! On February 29th, 2008 the Me2We Service Club presented the Niagara Falls Humane Society with a cheque for $362.00 and food for the animals at the shelter. Way to go Greendale, Thank you for your innovative support!!

We would like to thank our friends at Meridian Credit Union (Drummond & Dunn Branch). The staff and members have been very generous to the Niagara Falls Humane Society over the years. This year's fundraiser was the most successful ever! - raising $1028.60! This really helps all of the animals at the Shelter. Purrs and wags to everyone at Meridian Credit Union.
MANY HANDS PROJECT

What is the Many Hands Project?
Many Hands is a registered charity through Niagara College that performs a one-day community driven site resoration project using about 100 volunteers. This year they decided to "go green" by enhancing our outdoor area in an "eco freiendly" way at no cost to the shelter.
As our natural environment becomes a greater concern, and living life in an eco-sustainable way hits closer to home, the many Hands Project would like to restore some of our outdoor public spaces, while helping out the community at the same time. That is why they selected the Niagara Falls Humane Society as this years recipient for the project. We not only requested their assistance beautifying our outdoor space but also communicated the desire to become eco-friendly in our operation.
On APRIL 17th, 2008 (rain date of April 18th) the Many Hands Project will be:
- Planting Trees
- Finishing a hedge fence
- Erecting Benches
- Planting a memorial garden
