The Niagara Falls Humane Society is embarking on a new fundraising initiative.  We have partnered with local lawyers from the community who will be providing a simple will for $100 and a simple power of attorney for $50 per person.  All of the proceeds raised will benefit the Niagara Falls Humane Society.

The Campaign will be running from February 14, 2008-May 31, 2008.  To get referred to a lawyer call the shelter (905)-356-4404 starting February 14, 2008.  There will be no referrals until February 14, 2008.  There are a limited number of spots.

Adopt-A-Guinea Pig Month

Come to PetCetera where we will be bringing some of our adoptable pets. We have some cute kittens and well behaved adult cats that need homes.

National Wildlife Week

A one-day community driven project, organized by Niagara College students will focus on an outdoor area where plans include tree and hedge planting, the creation of a memorial garden, the installation of outdoor benches and more. Click here for the press release or here for more information

Come join us for our annual walk-a-thon. Collect pledges and bring your furry friends to enjoy a walk with fellow four-legged friends. We have prizes, bbq, music, and lots more. Dogfest is a community event where people bring all kind of dog breeds. It is a fun interactive day with many activities including a dog fashion show, work shops, and many dog experts on hand. We are also hosting a BBQ where the proceeds go to benefit our Shelter animals.

We invite the community to bring their animals to the Shelter to have them blessed by a clergy member. This is an outdoor event performed at the Shelter's grounds, so we recommend that you bring comfy chairs/blankets.

Come join us, you will find all kinds of books: Romance, Cooking, Childrens, Fic/Non-Fic/Sci Fic, Biography, Self-Help and so much more. Prices start at $1.00 for paperbacks, $2.00 for hardcover. Everyone is Welcome !! (Please bring bags or boxes to carry your purchases)

Adopt-A-Dog Month

November

Help celebrate the lifesaving efforts of the everyday heroes that protect the animals from abuse and neglect by providing these animals with shelter, care and a second chance.

Parade will start on Victoria Ave and McRae St. It will go along Queen St. ending at Erie Ave. Come and watch some of our adoptable pets take part on this festive event.

December

We will be selling Paw Prints at the Shelter to adorn our christmas tree. Paw Prints are $1.00 each where you can write your name or the name of a loved one. All proceeds go to the animal care here at our Shelter.

Donations from our Wish List are placed under our Christmas Tree.

PetSmart will be having Santa Claus Pet Picture days, so bring all your furry and non-furry companions for a memorable keepsake. Pictures are $8.95+tax. $5.00 will be donated to the local animal welfare participating that day.
